IS IT TIME TO GET YOUR CAR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM INSPECTED?

AC

UNTIL JULY 10, BRING YOUR CAR TO ERIC’S AUTOMOTIVE FOR AN A/C PERFORMANCE CHECK AND PAY ONLY $29.95*.

Now that the warm weather is here (finally!) it’s time to give some thought to your car’s AIR CONDITIONING!

Faulty air conditioners can cause damage to your car down the road if not taken care of. Car air conditioners are connected to the rest of the vehicle’s electrical system, so a surge or problem with the air conditioner can cause problems with the rest of the car, like poor idling, fuel inefficiency or a drained battery. Getting your system inspected and serviced is the best way to prevent bigger problems.

Generally speaking most car air conditioning problems are related to Low Refrigerant. In most cases a leak repair would be required.

Some common problems found in auto air conditioners:

1) Refrigerant Leaks. This generally applies to older vehicles. Refrigerant can run out on its own over the course of time, or leaks may have developed in the car’s A/C System.

2) Noisy A/C Compressor. Some noises may occur when your car’s A/C is turned on, from the compressor, or minor engine noises and hoses, but if noise is excessive it could indicate a problem with the compressor. If the problem is the A/C compressor, it will usually have to be replaced.

3) Faulty Car Electrical System. A weak car battery can cause your auto air conditioner to function weakly or not at all. Automobiles need to have enough voltage to trigger the AC compressor, and while it may be strong enough to run the rest of your car, it may still be too weak to run your car’s air conditioning.

4) Mold And Mildew. Bad smells coming from the air conditioning vents are likely caused by mold and mildew on the evaporator core. At Eric’s we have the proper tools to eliminate those bad odors.

What to look for:

• A/C system doesn’t produce cold air

• Fan or blower doesn’t work

• Fan, blower or A/C excessive noise when turned on

• One of the dashboard controls malfunctions

• Vent, car heater or defroster are having problems working correctly

• Bad smell from the air conditioning vents

• Car overheats

• Cabin air filter may need to be replaced

• A/C has never been serviced before

If you suspect that your A/C is not performing correctly, bring your car into Eric’s Automotive for an A/C Performance Check. YOU’LL SAVE $20 OFF our regular price of $49.95 until JULY 10th.

Now that’s a cool deal.

Now there’s no excuse for putting it off.
